Sunrise Telecom Inc. www.sunrisetelecom.com, a test and measurement vendor for telecom, cable, and wireless networks, today announced that its SunLite GigE, the company’s newest Ethernet test product, was selected by a Tier-1 European network operator for the installation and maintenance of its next generation Ethernet network in an agreement that will exceed $1 million.
SunLite GigE will be used by field technicians and engineers who may not be experienced with emerging Metro Ethernet technologies and who conduct Ethernet and IP testing anywhere in the network.
The unit can test 10/100/1000 electrical, 100/1000 optical Ethernet, and IP circuits.
Sunrise products are distributed in Canada by testworX Inc. based in Brockville, Ont.
