At the 2012 BICSI Fall Conference and Expo this week in Anaheim, Calif., 3M announced an expanded line of fiber for the information technology systems sector, which the company said will help simplify cable management and interconnect challenges.
With the addition of the Fiber Distribution Units 8423 Pre-assembled with Pigtails, the Fiber Distribution Unit (FDU) 8400 Series from 3M now contains new options for fiber cable management at termination points.
3M FDUs are designed with room for the installer to add and manage cables as the network expands. They also include cable mounting hardware and fiber retention clips that can be placed into an organization’s preferred locations.
